You might want to grab a cup of coffee, glass of wine, or a big gulp of diet coke. This post is a needlepoint extravaganza, and if you are into stitching, you will be here for a while. ..
As I mentioned in my last post, there is an addicting quality to collecting canvases. There are so many to choose from! My needlepoint-loving friend, the gal I keep referring to, has finished quite a few masterpieces of needlepoint. Please take a look at these works of art…
This gorgeousness was used to recover an antique stool purchased at our local Antique & Garden Show.
I really love this one and might have to do it myself. After all, I was a teacher!
This Matisse needlepoint is particularly special…
Placed just above a Matisse in her hallway :)
I adore this one… a treasure made by her mother-in-law!
My young friends are Deadheads. I can’t relate.
A hidden stash of threads and such… (One of many)
They will be perfect with her fabrics.
Now switching to another friend… I would like to reiterate the fact that this hobby is addicting. Lol. Are you ready?
First, she showed me several pieces of finished needlepoint in her home…
This was purchased at the Lauritzen Gardens Antique & Garden Show. Harrison Howard was a special guest a few years ago, and this is one of his pieces. Stunning!
Then, we went to the needlepoint room, (that’s my nickname for this room) where the real fun began.
This will go on a bench!
This collection of canvases could/should be referred to as a small shop.
Love this one!
AND THIS ONE!!
This one’s not a Deadhead, she is a self-proclaimed Phish head… all the same to me…
She bought this as a Cub-lover before they won the World Series!
Some day I will do this one… Love it.
She has a few belts…
This awesome magnabrite helps find any missed stitches!
Will definitely be ordering these as soon as possible.
While they wait to be worked on, all of these canvases will be displayed on large bulletin boards. They are truly works of art, and will be enjoyed before and after being stitched!
A bow tie!
Can you even believe? I was in heaven!
I spent a few hours searching canvases online when I returned home. Here are my next few projects… Ordered and on their way!
I’m kind of into the smaller projects. Can you tell I’m obsessed? I’ve been updating on my stitch progress on instagram… I think I’m driving my followers crazy!
