The latest cover of Veranda really stopped me in my tracks.  It reminded me of Ginny Magher's cover from 1999.  After all these years, I am still in awe at the charm of a French farmhouse, constant and timeless.. Yes, this is a farmhouse. lol.  A 13,000 square foot farmhouse, bordering a pear orchard on an island in the Rhone River. Designer Susan Bednar Long was hired by long time clients to transform, renovate and redesign. Although Long made all decisions on her own for previous projects, Shauna, the owner, was involved every step of the way for this one. The pair worked closely with a renowned local architect, Alexandre Lafourcade.  Let's take a look inside... The dining room is spectacular. Just revisited this post from April 2011... Thought it would be fun to repost. It was really a fun time!   April 2011 Turns out there's more to Augusta than azaleas and Tiger Woods... Yes, the Masters in Augusta was amazing and Tiger had all in a frenzy by noon on Sunday.  Here are a few fun facts about the event provided by a female non-golfer. - While walking to the gate and upon entering the event, visitors are greeted by intense lovers of Jesus.  We pass "Master's Corner" a tricky play on words, and then are accused along the way by extreme activists who are convinced we are sinners.  I'm not sure what the correlation between attending the Masters and being a sinner is, but nevertheless, they were adamant. - What you've heard about the azaleas and magnolias is true - truly magnificent. - People who attend the Masters [...]
